Complete, ongoing support for your company’s legal and administrative obligations.

A company secretary is responsible for helping a business comply with its legal obligations. This typically includes maintaining statutory registers, submitting filings to Companies House, and ensuring that the company’s official records remain up to date and accurate. While not all companies are legally required to appoint a secretary, having one ensures professional oversight of governance and regulatory tasks.

How do I request one of my fifteen company changes?

Just contact your assigned account manager with the details of the change you’d like to make. We’ll confirm any additional information we need, prepare the necessary documents.

What types of changes are included in the fifteen per year?

You can request a wide range of company changes, including but not limited to:

  • Appointing or removing directors and secretaries
  • Updating director or secretary details
  • Changing the registered office or accounting reference date
  • Approving annual accounts
  • Transferring or issuing shares
  • Updating bank mandate resolutions

Amending company guarantees (for limited by guarantee companies)
We handle document drafting, register updates, and all filings with Companies House.

Can I use this service for more than one company?

No. This service and its benefits apply to the specific company named in the subscription. Each company would require a separate plan.

Do I need to have formed my company through you to use this service?

Not at all. We can take over secretarial support for companies formed elsewhere, as long as they meet our eligibility requirements.

Do you provide additional services beyond the included 15 changes?

Yes. We offer a full range of company secretarial services, including more complex changes such as share class conversions or capital reductions. These are quoted separately and are not included in the standard plan.

How do I contact my account manager?

You will be provided with direct contact details for your account manager once your service begins. They are available by phone and email throughout the year.

What does the confirmation statement filing involve?

One month before your due date, we’ll send you a short questionnaire to confirm any changes since your last submission. Once completed, we handle the filing on your behalf—no extra cost, and no stress.

What are statutory company registers?

These are official records that document who owns and controls your company. We maintain the following registers as part of your service:

  • Register of Members (shareholders or guarantors)
  • Register of Directors
  • Register of Secretaries
  • Register of People with Significant Control (PSC)
  • Register of Charges
Are other registers available?

Yes. We can also prepare a Register of Share Allotments and a Register of Share Transfers upon request.

What if my company is dormant?

If your company is not currently trading, we’ll help you notify HMRC of its dormant status and prepare and file your dormant accounts with Companies House. This helps you avoid unnecessary fines or correspondence.

Does this service include document signing?

No. While we handle all preparation, you or your company officers will be required to sign any documents. We use secure e-signature platforms to streamline this.

Who is eligible to purchase this service?

This service is available to UK private limited companies by shares or by guarantee. It is not currently offered to public limited companies (PLCs) or LLPs.

Do I need to complete identity checks?

Yes. All individuals who hold more than 25% of shares, as well as the named customer purchasing the service, must complete a standard identity verification process. This is part of our legal compliance obligations and is handled electronically for your convenience.

What are the monthly legal guidance notes?

Each month, you’ll receive a short briefing prepared by a solicitor, covering practical governance topics and tips for running your business smoothly. This helps you stay informed and compliant throughout the year.
